College semester break is the best opportunity to learn additional skills, maybe intern with a company or take up a summer job, prep for the upcoming semester, and most importantly cool down a bit.
Delhi University thinks their students are from a different time zone or maybe a different planet altogether who can do all this and more in the one day they announced as semester break.
So, the prestigious university of the country released their academic calendar which states that kids in the third semester would only have a day off as ‘semester break’ before they jump into the fourth semester. Apparently, their mid-semester break is longer than the semester break.
This news was brought to light by a LinkedIn user who thought Delhi University was ‘too kind’ to give students such a great semester break that they could use productively.
Well, it is only after he shared this on his timeline that students from other universities revealed a similar or worse situation there.
There were also some universities that ended the semester exams in the evening and started the next semester’s classes the next day morning.
Others had a good laugh.
