We have all been guilty of calling and annoying random strangers at some point in our lives. I remember telephoning people whose numbers I dug out from a big fat yellow book that contained phone numbers of literally anyone and everyone back in the day! Was it fun? Yes. Did I hear a few abuses? Yes. I can only imagine how irritated the other person on the line might have been.
Having said that, a man living in Delhi has been allegedly receiving 150-200 calls a day from people thinking the number belonged to Sunny Leone. How? Because the number was used in her recent film Arjun Patiala!
According to sources, 27-year-old Puneet Agarwal, a resident of Pitampura, has been receiving uncountable calls from people asking for Sunny Leone every since July 26th – the day her movie was released.
“On July 26, after the release of the movie, I started receiving calls from unknown people asking me to let them talk to Sunny Leone. Initially, I thought somebody is playing a prank on me, but after a while, I got to know that the makers of the movie have actually used my number and Sunny Leone’s character in the movie dictates my number”, he said.
However, it became concerning when the callers started asking for “dirty favours”.
“I am being harassed by many callers, people are abusing me and asking me to do dirty favours. I have filed a police complaint but till now the police has not taken any action even after giving me assurances,” he added.
Helpless, the man now plans on taking the makers of ‘Arjun Patiala’ to court.
Pranking someone is fine. Abusing and harassing them is not. If you are someone who has been calling the poor man, please don’t!
