The junta of Delhi (the capital of the largest democracy in the world) got indelibly inked on February 8, 2020, and cast their vote to elect representatives for 70 Assembly seats. According to Financial Express, the final voter turnout was 62.59 percent and the counting is currently underway.
While the ECI results for all 70 seats haven’t been declared yet, the Aam Aadmi Party has already won 41 seats and is looking to sweep the others with their broom. The Indian National Congress seems to have drawn a blank, reports India Today.
Official ECI results declared for 40 out of 70 seats: AAP wins 37 assembly seats and is leading on 25 others. BJP has won 3 and is leading on 5 others. #DelhiResults pic.twitter.com/rE8ijES2KA

NDTV quoted Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal saying, “Dilliwalon, ghazab kar diya aapne (You have done the impossible). I love you.”
“This is not my victory. This is a victory for Delhi, for all the families who saw me as their son. For every family that got 24-hour electricity, water, and education. The people of Delhi have given us a new kind of politics, the politics of kaam (work).”
While we wait for the official results, here’s a look at the unofficial winner of the #DelhiElections – Twitter humour. From rubbing salt in Congress’ wounds to using memes to describe the AAP v BJP battle, the internet is flooding with polltastic jokes. Here are some of the best ones.
