Mood for this week: OMG the #DeepVeer reception is going to be so LIT! Can’t wait!
If you teared up a little when Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh posted their first wedding pics, then you’re not alone.
Before 8 pm on November 15, fans across the world were glued to their phones, grasping at every blurred photo and tiny detail about the wedding festivities happening at Villa del Balbianello in Lake Como, Italy.
Now can you believe it’s already been three days since we laid eyes on Mr and Mrs Ranveer Singh for the very first time?

Memes were made and more pics were shared! People couldn’t help but go awww over the way Ranveer’s dad welcomed his daughter-in-law in the most filmy way possible!
FYI, controversy is already snipping at DeepVeer’s heels.
There’s an issue about thier Anand Karaj ceremony violating the Sikh code of conduct. The Akal Takht prohibits the Guru Granth Sahib to be taken anywhere other than a gurudwara. The president of the Italian Sikh organisation have taken it up with the responsible higher authorities, who await a complaint to further inquire, TOI reports.
The newlyweds, though, clad again in beautiful Sabyasachi attire, returned to Mumbai yesterday for their griha pravesh. And yet again, media and fans went cray-cray with joy at the pics!
Both Ranveer and Deepika had immense joy and disbelief on their faces when the saw the huge crowd that had gathered at the airport to welcome them!
Deepika Padukone GLOWED with happiness, adorned in sindoor, mangalsutra, jhumkas and chooda! And Baba, what do we say about this king, who reigned handsome in a perfectly complementing kurta and jacket, equally glowing with joy!
The couple were snapped at the airport, and also posed for the paps outside Ranveer Singh’s residence before their griha pravesh ceremony, which BTW was decorated beautifully in honour of Deepika’s arrival!
One of my favourite pictures from the lot was this closeup of Ranveer’s mehendi love for wifey DP!
He’s got a diya or deep design with Deepika written underneath in Devnagri! Isn’t that a beautifully symbolic design?
Ranveer’s father and mother, Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Anju Bhavnani, and sister Ritika Bhavnani were also snapped outside their home.
As the days go by, more and more pictures of the couple from their Lake Como wedding festivities and details about the ceremonies are popping up on social media!

DeepVeer are slated to have three wedding receptions, one in Bengaluru on November 21, another in Mumbai for their friends and the media on November 28 and one for their industry friends on December 1.
From the media reports doing the rounds about the list of invitees, this is one event nobody would want to miss the pics and videos of! Which designer will DeepVeer be wearing for these functions? Will there be the same level of crazy camaraderie and dancing we witnessed at Virushka’s and Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja’s weddings? Will we finally see Ranveer Singh in his fashion element?
