If you think you’re alone in obsessing over Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s super secret nuptials, ongoing in Lake Como right now, then rest assured, that’s not true. Millions of #DeepVeer fans are setting alerts and alarms in their phones as you read this, because reports say there will be pictures shared at 6 pm today!
Others, are refreshing their social media feeds every few hours and clinging to whatever blurry pap photos of the wedding festivities they can find! Even Union Minister Smriti Irani suffers from FOMO!
So here’s a little detour we’re going to take, while we wait for the official photos to arrive.
Remember when DP and Baba went to meet Farah Khan Kunder during Diwali, reportedly to give her the wedding invite?
We wonder if they just dropped in to seek her blessings, because there have been no reports of Farah being in Italy for the wedding as yet. Farah’s Om Shanti Om gave Deepika her dream Bollywood Debut, and she and DP’s first ever hero Shah Rukh Khan were rumoured to be a part of the wedding celebrations back then.
An ecstatic Farah had shared some sweet pictures with the couple, showering loads of love and blessings on her ‘baby’ DP and her ‘son-in-law’ Baba! But she gave them a really awesome wedding gift!
Farah had Bhavna Jasra of First Impressions create an impression of DeepVeer’s tightly clasped hands, so she could turn it into a beautiful memory of their union!
Bhavna, who has created hand and feet impressions for several celebrities, including PM Narendra Modi, told TOI,
“Farah is a dear friend. She called me one morning asking me if I could come to her place, as she wanted to make a special wedding gift for Deepika and Ranveer. She wanted to surprise them and literally hid me in another room.”
It was indeed a moment to cherish when DeepVeer proceeded to hold their hands for the cast!
Bhavna recollected,
“Directing the couple on how they should put their hand together to make a tight clasp was a special moment. I felt as if time stood still when Ranveer and Deepika posed for pictures with their hands clasped tightly in my clay.”
What a thoughtful and memorable gift, isn’t it?
Pretty sure Ranveer and Deepika were super thrilled to receive it!
