Can we just talk about what an absolute TREAT these last few days have been for #DeepVeer fans? Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s no-cellphones allowed wedding may have generated enough FOMO to last us a lifetime. But on Monday, when the freshly minted Mr and Mrs Ranveer Singh released an avalanche of photos from their Lake Como ceremonies, our hearts were full!
Watching these two lovebirds in all these photos made us believe in true love so much that we all just wanted to get married! Even their celeb friends, like Sonakshi Sinha, couldn’t help but fall for it!
But DeepVeer’s shaadi shenanigans are far from over. The couple is in the midst of hosting three receptions—one in Bengaluru and two in Mumbai—for all their family, friends and industry peers.
Yesterday, November 21, DeepVeer kickstarted their series of receptions with one at The Leela Palace in DP’s hometown of Bengaluru. And before you can say, “Damn, more FOMO!” the couple released this regal portrait of themselves on social media before the night even began!
Now you know what Sanjay Leela Bhansali was thinking, casting these two as royals in not one but two of his movies back to back! They look as regal as royalty can be! Ranveer Singh in his Rohit Bal sherwani is reigning over hearts.
And Deepika, where do you even begin to describe this queen, who is styled by Sabyasachi and is wearing a saree that was gifted to her by mom Ujjala Padukone! The sindoor, that breathtaking choker necklace layered with a pearl necklace, those stunning earrings and that elegant bun with gajra around it…. timeless elegance!
You’d know it was royalty descending as the couple walked down a staircase to make a beautiful entrance straight out of some movie about royals!

But Baba being Baba was still chanelling his whacky spirits when he greeted the media with a loud namashkar and then told them “Khaana khaake jaana!“

He then proceeded to help his lady love arrange her gorgeous flowing saree just so, because that’s what a true gentlemen does!
And don’t miss that kiss he blew at her because she be lookin’ so damn fiiiiiiine!

Speaking of adorable, the couple posed for pictures and videos to the media’s hearts’ content! But DeepVeer had eyes only for each other as they exchanged loving looks and whispered cheeky-sweet nothings in each others’ ears!
When it was finally time to step down and enter their reception, DeepVeer graciously thanked the media for their wishes. And Ranveer once again reminded them “Khaana khaake jaana!“
You can almost be convinced at this point that Baba is chanelling Hansa from Khichdi!

Thankfully for us fans, the DeepVeer reception wasn’t a no-phone-zone, which means several photos and videos from media and guests popped up on social media in real time!
We got a good glimpse at the decor, at both DP’s and Ranveer’s families, and most of all, the couple du jour!
