There are many power couples in B-town but the one I ship through and through is #DeepVeer. Even before actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got officially hitched, they set hearts aflutter with their adorable Instagram PDA. And after their wedding too, they are just setting one #CoupleGoal after another. Whether it is Ranveer holding his wife’s heels at a wedding or Deepika opening up about her surname post-marriage, their adorable-ness is forever melting my heart.
Recently, in an interview with Vogue India, the Chhapaak star was asked about the quality that first attracted her towards her husband and she had the sweetest response. Take a look.
Hindustan Times quoted her saying,
“There is no pretence with him, no holding back. People hate him or love him for that, but that’s who he is. He’s genuine, very good at articulating his feelings. He’s not afraid to cry. That’s what got me.”
DNA India quoted her from another interview with TOI saying,
“I don’t know what happens when he leaves the house as he’s an extremely different person then, which I think also people will start seeing. Like if you see it in his work, which is that there’s an extremely quiet side to him, there’s an extremely intelligent side to him, there’s a very sensitive and emotional side to him, there’s a vulnerable childlike innocence, so there are so many facets to him.”
Isn’t that wonderful? Earlier, in an interview with Filmfare magazine, Ranveer was asked when he realised that she was “the one”. His response was equally heartwarming.
“Six months into the relationship, I knew she was the one. I nurtured the relationship accordingly… I knew all too well that this is the woman I’m going to marry. This is the woman who would become the mother of my children.”
