From 2018 to 2021, Deepika Padukone faced immense backlash from a lot of people, religious and political groups for various different reasons. First, there was her portrayal of ‘Padmavat’ and people putting a bounty on her head, and then there was the JNU appearance controversy. Then there was the entire deal with the Narcotics Control Bureau followed by her seemingly “bold” scenes in ‘Gehraiyaan’.

But the best thing about Deepika is that she is a woman of few words and more action. She works quietly through the noise and comes back home a champion. The post-pandemic era in relation to her career has been splendid. She joined hands with several big-name global brands like Adidas, Levis, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Qatar Airways, etc. and delivered a 1000-crore film. She also scripted history when she became the first Indian to unveil the FIFA World Cup trophy during the finals in Qatar last year.

And now, Deepika Padukone has reached another milestone. She took to social media to announce that she will be one of the presenters in this year’s Oscars a.k.a the 95th Academy Awards. Other big names on the list alongside her are Emily Blunt, Michael B. Jordan, Dwayne Johnson, and Melissa McCarthy.
