Vogue, Getty & Others Misidentify Deepika As Model & Matthew McConaughey’s Wife Camila Alves

Popular Indian actress Deepika Padukone has been making waves in the international circuit by being one of the important people at several coveted events. To jog your memory, she was one of the jury members at the Cannes Film Festival 2022. She then became the first Indian to become a Louis Vuitton House ambassador.

She was also the first Indian to unveil the FIFA World Cup trophy during the finals in Qatar last year.

Just now, she added another feather to her cap by being one of the presenters in this year’s Oscars a.k.a the 95th Academy Awards.

But despite so many accomplishments and being on top of her game, some media houses confused her for Brazilian model and Matthew McConaughey’s wife, Camila Alves.

Getty Images tagged Deepika’s pictures from the Oscars this year as Camila Alves.

Not just that, a magazine as popular as Vogue, in their online edition, shared Deepika Padukone’s picture and identified her as Camila Alves.

Buzzfeed, in their online article, also made the same mistake but was quick to correct it after people called them out online.

Obviously, these errors weren’t hidden by people online who slammed these publications for their careless blunders.

People on Reddit also discussed this mistake.

This is unreal especially because Deepika was one of the presenters at the Oscars. 🤦
