In the era of social media and dating apps, it’s become quite easy to approach a person you like. If they have the same feeling, they’d right swipe, if not, blocking is always an option. But this guy went too far to express his liking for a girl and approached her in a most unique way.
When an American post-graduate student in California told a girl he wanted to take her out on a date, the girl jokingly replied that he should send her a cover letter, instead. And guess what, he went ahead and sent her a resume. And we aren’t kidding.
According to The Indian Express, James, a student at San Diego State University, wanted to ask a girl out from his university whom he had had a crush on for four years. And on the girl’s suggestion, he prepared a funny dating resume.
On his creative application, he mentioned his ‘mating qualification’ and enlisted his ‘funny and good style’. He also mentioned that he’s a ‘mamma’s boy’. He even gave references of girls he has previously dated and went on to say that he’s relatively smart and has really good hair.
Kristii, the girl who received the application shared the ‘resume’ online:
told a guy if he rly wanted to take me out on a date then he should send me a cover letter (jokingly ofc) but he actually sent me a resume??? pic.twitter.com/qjNnVImiyx

However, things went south when one of the girls mentioned on his ‘references’ list, said the guy cheated on her multiple times with ‘reference girl two and three’.

Some people also said she shouldn’t date the guy as he doesn’t know the difference between a cover letter and a resume and that his letter was sexist in many ways:
he doesn't even know the difference between a cover letter and a resume. don't date him.

Men don’t listen, you asked for a cover letter and he sent a resume.

After people bashed him for his letter, he went ahead and said:
