Singer Daler Mehndi who rocked most Punjabi weddings with his hit songs like Tunak Tunak Tun and Na Na Na Re has made his way back into the news recently. But this time it’s for all the wrong reasons.
Daler Mehndi has been sentenced to two years in prison for human trafficking. The sentence was passed by the Patiala Court for the 2003 case of human trafficking against Mehndi, his brother Shamsher and some of his associates.

The conviction was following a complaint filed by one Bakshish Singh from Balbehra village, Punjab, in 2003.
However, soon after being sentenced to prison, the singer was also let out on bail.
