Veteran Shooter Dadi Chandro Tomar Passes Away Due To Covid At 89, Celebs Mourn Her Death

Chandro Tomar, who is popularly known as ‘Shooter Dadi’, was no ordinary 80-year-old. She was already 60-years-old when she first picked up a gun and then went on to become the oldest woman sharpshooter in the world, winning several national competitions. The Bollywood film ‘Saand ki Aankh’ was based on her life.

However, in a piece of extremely sad news, Dadi Chandro Tomar passed away today at the age of 89 due to Covid-19, reports The Indian Express. Earlier this week, she had been admitted to a hospital in Meerut after she had complained of having difficulty in breathing.

Several celebrities including Taapsee Pannu, Kangana Ranaut, Bhumi Pedneker, Akshay Kumar and Randeep Hooda shared mourned the death of ‘Shooter Dadi’ and shared their condolences on Twitter. Have a look:
