CRPF Jawan Donates Blood To Save Wounded Naxal, Act Of Selflessness Honoured With Reward

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

All of us have heard this quote by Plato. But most of the time, we’re so caught up in our own problems that we forget to be empathetic. Especially if the person on the other end is someone we consider our adversary. But a few amongst us remember. Remember that hate solves nothing.

Constable Rajkamal is a CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) jawan of the 133 Battalion. He was part of an exchange of fire with Naxal troops earlier this week. One among the troop (209 Commando Battalion for Resolute Action or CoBRA) was severely injured in the battle. He was promptly taken to a nearby medical facility.

When the doctors of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi, said that the wounded Naxal required blood, Constable Rajkamal volunteered his own.

This act of kindness was recognized and saluted by his peers as well as superiors. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sanjay Anand Lathkar has lauded the jawan and also honoured him with a cash reward.

Setting an example for us all by showing genuine respect and compassion to each and every person (no matter the side they’re fighting on)
