Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo’s emphatic arrival to Turin in July last year had sent Juventus fans into a frenzy. Much to their joy, it did not take long for the relentless goal machine to work his mojo in Italy, as he now stands as the top scorer in Seria A this season.
But this post is not to brief you about his record in Italy, but to draw your attention to a statue of his.
In 2014, Ronaldo’s museum in Funchal, Portugal unveiled an 11ft sculpture of his, which was created by Madeiran artist Ricardo Veloza. The statue has the footballer standing in his iconic free kick stance in front of a beautiful natural backdrop.
However, the statue is gaining a hell lot more attention now, than the time it was opened for the world five years ago. The reason? Cristiano Ronaldo’s crotch.
According to The Sun,
“apparently been rubbed so much that the bronze finish has worn away.”
As a result, the highlighted area of the statue has fascinated a number of people and got them posing for pictures putting their hands on the crotch.
This is really funny. Female tourists can't get their hands off Cristiano Ronaldo's golden bulge bronze statue at Funchal, Portugal. For some, that will be a perfect gift for the New year. Lol! pic.twitter.com/Kbx6INxZaF
