There are several heartwarming moments that are packed within a game of cricket. Whether it’s Mohammed Siraj skipping scoring runs and checking on a fellow cricket after he’s hit by a ball or a guy from the audience proposing to his girlfriend, cricket matches always end up giving us something to remember.
Having said that, in a recent Super Smash T20 match between Wellington Blaze and Otago Sparks in New Zealand, batswoman Sophie Devine nearly hit a little girl on the cheeks with one of her sixes. Luckily, the ball just brushed the girl’s cheeks and no serious injury occurred, reports The Indian Express.

However, Sophie paused the cricket match and walked up to the little girl to check on her. She sat beside her and even posed for a photograph.

While sports does teach us sportsman spirit, it also teaches us something far more important – being humane.
