Be it an Indian wedding or a western one, couples often come up with unique ideas to make the festivities fun, memorable and give a personal touch to them. While some show their creativity in their wedding cards and food menu, others make sure all of their favorite food items make it to the food counter on their D-day.
Well, in the bid to enjoy their wedding to the fullest, a couple decided to dance it out on their pheras.
In an undated video that has now become the talk of the town, a bride and groom can be seen taking the auspicious saat pheras in accordance with Hindu wedding traditions. But what made their wedding so special was the spirit with which they decided to dance into their new phase of life.
While the pundit chanted mantras, this couple danced while taking the pheras. The guests were equally ecstatic and cheered them too.
Take a look at the video here:
ये शादी है या संस्कारों की आहुति? ये मत भूलिए आप दुनिया में पूजनीय हैं तो केवल अपनी संस्कृति और संस्कारों की वजह से। pic.twitter.com/jZHtEfZpD7

This rare sight sparked a debate online. While some cheered for their enthusiasm, others questioned their move.
I see 2 people (probably in love) enjoying THEIR UNION, why the butthurt?

Is this good for Indian culture? Or is it bad?

Agreed. Pious, sacred vows go filmy nowadays. People are getting more happening. Dance becomes the prerequisite. Pre wedding shoot, post wedding shoot and whatnot. Marriage is not about these things. Its a responsibility.

This is just nonsense … And what about seniors or other relatives are there; why they’re not stopping this couple is more questionable!! How people are destroying the cultural ethics on the name of modernity is a hype of foolishness.

Not justifying dance and drama in marriage , but during the wedding , the bride and the groom are avtaar of Laxmi and Vishnu. This allows them to keep their shoes on and sit on a chair higher than the kund even when the pandit ji himself sits at ground level.

All this jumping and dancing is the bright idea of the event planner… they think such buffoonery is ultimate Creativity 🤨🧐

Well, they aren’t the only ones. Another couple was also seen dancing in joy during their pheras.
