Shauna Gracey and Tom Maguire took birth on 22 December 1992, just hour and meters apart in the same hospital. The epic coincidental love story of the couple will convince you to believe that marriages are indeed made in heaven.
Both of them were born in a hospital in Wigan, Greater Manchester on the same day and lived just three miles away from each other but they first met 18 years later while celebrating their birthday on Boxing Day.
Tom came dressed as a Ninja while Shauna was in a Minni Mouse costume. It was love at first sight for Tom, who approached Shauna but the girl wasn’t easy to get. She kept avoiding Tom giving signs that she was not interested in him at all. They, however, moved on then.
But a few months later, their paths crossed again and they ended up sharing a drunken smooch that night. But Shauna was still not convinced. Tom tried his best and finally won her over in a couple of months.
The love-birds have now been going strong for eight years and have decided to tie the knot. “I told him that we were just friends and that we would never end up together, I just wasn’t interested,” recalls Shauna.
“But one night we were out and I just looked over and saw him and thought, ‘Oh my God, I really like him. We’ve been together eight years now and I couldn’t be happier, he really is one in a million,’ Shauna said, reports Mirror.
“I think it’s so nice that we were born on the same day in the same place. I love telling people and seeing their reactions,” she further said.
Love can happen anywhere, anytime and with anyone! And this coincidental love story of Tom and Shauna is a living example of the saying. We hope that this match made in hospital stays strong forever!
