“I Will Kiss My Husband, Can You Stop Me?” Delhi Couple Argues With Cops After Violating Curfew

Last week, a weekend curfew was announced in the national capital and the cops were on duty catching hold of anyone who was violating the order. According to NDTV, at around 4-4.30 pm yesterday in Delhi’s Dariyaganj area, cops stopped a married couple travelling in a car without face masks and a curfew pass.

The woman started arguing rudely with them saying, “He is my husband, if I want I will kiss him.” The man added, “Why did you stop my car? I was inside my car with my wife.”

The New Indian Express reports that the couple (Pankaj and Abha) are residents of Patel Nagar. After they refused to pay the fine and dared the cops to take action against them, a case was registered by the cops. The man has already been arrested and his wife is to be arrested shortly.

While some people questioned the need for people from the same family to wear masks inside a car, others believed that the couple should be punished for violating curfew as well as misbehaving with police personnel.

Do you believe that the couple was wrongly detained or that they should be produced in court for their actions? Tell us.
