While some are working from home or making optimum utilization of the time in some way or the other, many are killing time by participating in online challenges. And among the many bizarre challenges that we’ve seen so far, the #CoronavirusChallenge tops the list.

As part of the challenge, people are supposed to lick different objects in public places. With an intention to make it more interesting, some even licked a toilet seat. As nauseating as it sounds, people weren’t behind in attempting the challenge. And among these was a California based social media personality Larz, 21, reported NY Post.

The man who goes by the name @GayShawnMendes posted a bizarre video on TikTok. In the video, he’s seen walking into a public restroom, then squatting next to a toilet seat and licking it, TWICE! He then turns towards the camera and says, “Coronavirus challenge”, reported The Sun.

And what would you expect out of this challenge? If the answer is a disease, then you are correct. As reported by Mirror Online, he’s tested positive for COVID-19 and is seeking treatment for the deadly disease. He also tweeted, “I tested positive for Coronavirus,” from his account that has since been suspended, though it’s not clear if he got infected while he attempted the challenge or not.

Not just him, many others were also seen attempting the challenge, making it a viral TikTok trend during a pandemic.

While the world is fighting against the pandemic, people coming up with such challenges are making it even more difficult to curb the virus. We urge people to help the country in these difficult times by staying at home and taking all the necessary precautions.
