Policeman’s Act Of Kindness Goes Viral, Leaves ₹7,000 Tip And Touching Note For Pregnant Waitress

More often than not we are prejudiced against the police. We regard them as bullies, the famous bribe-masters, and politically manipulated. But some of them, actually a lot of them, are not all that bad.

A South Jersey cop opened his heart to a pregnant waitress upon hearing her tell other customers at the diner how she was expecting her first child.

23-year old Courtney English works at the Lamp Post Diner in Clementon, NJ, and one fine day waited on the police officer who visited for an order of salad.

“We didn’t really even talk. I brought him his menu, he ordered a salad and I got it for him,” English said. “I was telling the people at the table behind him that it was my first baby.”

On receiving the bill, he added a $100 (INR 7k approx) tip and left a touching message for her: “Enjoy your first. You will never forget it.”

“One of the cashiers told me he left me $100 and I started crying,” said English.

Her father, Brian Cadigan, was immensely touched by the kind gesture that he took on Facebook to share the incident alongside a picture of the receipt containing the message.

“What a wonderful person to not only leave a VERY generous tip, but a lovely message, I don’t know you Mr Police Officer, but you made my little girl cry, and made her year. Thank you, I always had the utmost respect for Officers, but you went above and beyond not just an officer, but a beautiful human being. God Bless.”

You always hear about how Bad the Police are, How They treated you like dirt, how they are on a Power Trip, Yes I am…

According to sources, diner owner Nick Hionas informed that the officer had just had a baby and he said it was the most glorious day of his life and how he’ll never forget it.

Hoinas went on to say that the story proves that there is “faith left in humanity.”

Acts of kindness can come in unexpected ways and from the least expected places!
