It’s that time of the year. Nope, we aren’t talking about Valentine’s Day guys, it’s also exam season. Scores of students around the country are not just worried about finding the perfect budget gift for their prospect lovers, but are also tensed about their board exams.
The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) class 12 examination commenced on Wednesday. And while hard work, focus and dedication are the keys to pass with flying colours, well wishes and good luck also go a long way in boosting morale.
Hence, a kind cop from Assam’s police force decided to motivate the kids appearing for the examination by presenting them with a gift. Ratul Gogoi, a policeman in Assam’s Sivasagar district distributed pens to students appearing for the class XII Board exams, reported The Indian Express.
In a viral video, Ratul is seen greeting the candidates appearing for the exam with a pen outside the exam centre.
A good luck gesture of its own kind!
Heartening to see the Shri Ratul Gogoi from 1st AP Bn distributing Pens to students appearing for the AHSEC Class 12 examination.
More power to the might of the pen and the young policeman’s spirit.
Kudos!

Speaking about Ratul’s sweet gesture, DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta said, “A policeman can be a good samaritan. I was personally overwhelmed by this kind gesture of my colleague.”
“I will ask my fellow police officers to take it as an inspiration and to help others wherever they can without coming in the way of duty.”
He added, “Ratul Gogoi’s kind gesture has made all of us proud and will surely inspire others. It embodies the selfless spirit of service embraced by the Assam police.” As a token of appreciation of his gesture, the Assam Police decided to reward Ratul with a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
The policeman’s kind gesture was praised by people online:

After all, we make a living by what we get. But we make a life by what we give. Kudos to the cop for setting the right example for everyone.
