Animals are all about eat, sleep, ‘have mood swings’ and repeat but if you observe them closely, they can be quite the entertainers. Their little acts of comedy, happiness or just their coping mechanism to deal with the human world when captured at the right moment can guarantee you a lifetime of laughter. The ‘Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards’ is one such competition that rewards photographers for capturing the ‘lighter side of animal life’.
The competition just ended and we have the winner of the ‘Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards 2019’. But before we take you on this joy-ride, let me tell you there can be a lot of ‘awwws’ and ‘so cute’ happening here. Out of the 4,000 thousand entries from 68 countries that came down to 40 finalists, a picture of a lion cub “grabbing life by the . . . ,” was crowned the overall winner, reports Forbes.
The picture clicked by photographer Sarah Skinner was taken in Botswana. The cub is seen playing with an adult lion and the thought ‘what will happen next’ has us in splits.
Clearly, this picture deserves the award but here are the 15 other finalists who nailed it too.

When it comes to wildlife photography, timing is the key. In some cases, the animals might be having a moment with themselves, in others, it might be sheer coincidence or the photographer happened to be at the right place at the right moment.
