If there’s anything new we want to learn, the easiest way to do so is to search the internet for ‘how to’ video tutorials. There are so many free resources available, no matter the subject. And not just serious ones, there are satirical ones too. For example, earlier we came across a snippet showing how to compose a Ritviz song in 2 minutes.
Recently, Karachi-based stand-up comedian Akbar Chaudry shared a video on ‘How to speak English like Shashi Tharoor’. According to India Today, he hilariously showed three steps to achieve an extensive vocabulary. First, drink a smoothie made from the Oxford Dictionary. Second, use a dictionary drip and third, turn it into a fine powder and snort it.

The MP for Thiruvananthapuram himself responded to the video. According to Outlook India, he requested Akbar to make his next one on Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan.

People also praised Mr. Tharoor for taking the joke sportingly. In fact, the author and parliamentarian has dabbled in comedy himself which showcases his sense of humour.
This is how u handle someone making fun of u. By laughing with them.

Taking a joke actually makes a person cool and funny..

Refreshing to see a top level Indian politician embracing social media in a healthy way. Not afraid to laugh at himself.
And not afraid to tag someone else from outside the border.
Brilliant Shashi ji 👍🏼🙏🏻🎓🇮🇳— Rahul D / राहुल / راہول (@rdalwale) February 27, 2021

On a more serious note, the only way to achieve verbal prowess and use fancy words while speaking in English according to Mr. Tharoor, is to read extensively.
