We often end up taking for granted the little joys of life, like being able to feel the sunshine on your face, to smell freshly baked cookies, or to be able to see beautiful colours everywhere. Sometimes we need a reminder of how privileged we are and that we should enjoy the little things we are blessed with.
Like this boy, an almost colour-blind fellow, who was able to see colours for the first time after his teacher, who suffers from the same condition, gave him specially designed glasses, reports The Indian Express.
A heartwarming video of the boy, Jonathan Jones, breaking into tears after seeing colours for the first time has gone viral on the internet. The incident took place at Lakeview Public School in Cottonwood, Minnesota, during Jonathan’s science class. Have a look:
Jonathan’s brother went on to set up a Go Fund Me page to be able to buy new glasses for him. A large number of people donated for the cause and now they have enough money to buy glasses for many more colourblind people!
My mom started up a go fund me to get my brother his own pair so he can start seeing the world in color. Any excess funds will go to the Enchroma Foundation who provide these glasses to those in need: https://t.co/ZXyhh7P1PR

Thank you so much EVERYONE for all your kind words. It’s been incredibly moving to see the support my baby brother has gotten. Together we’ve raised over $15,000 (and counting) that is going to go completely to other people in need of these glasses. Follow me for updates! pic.twitter.com/ORmcjicjhh

People on the internet were left emotional by the video and took to Twitter to express how teachers have the ability to change a student’s life.
This is just a great example of the huge impact that teachers can have on kids. We need to pay our teachers more; they more than deserve it.

Such an amazing reaction. I'm so glad your little bro is able to experience more of the world now. My dad is colourblind and thinks he's too old for a pair of glasses like this to be worth it for him (he's 62). I'm trying to convince him otherwise.

Good for him and for his teacher who brought in the glasses. I cannot imagine how it is to not see colors. God bless them both!

This is a moment of such beauty, it heals my heart a bit from all the suffering our country/world has been enduring. 🙏

I can't stop watching this. Your brother seems like the kindest soul ever. So happy to have come across this video and even happier to see the impact it's having on others living with colorblindness like your brother. Good things happen to good people.

That is just awesome. We take so much for granted. The world is so colorful and beautiful. I would never want to not be able to see the world in color. I hope his parents can afford him a pair. God Bless this young man!!!

Wow that’s the best thing twitter has ever produced , by far . I’m 45 and it’s made me a blubbering mess . Thanks for sharing that it’s a fantastic story and just proves how good teachers really are.

I love this, but I never realized the emotional connection to color? Amazing, especially when he wanted to touch it. Incredible world we live in and dont appreciate as we should. Thank you for sharing

This is undoubtedly the best thing on the internet today!
