You’ve probably just started the hustle to college. It’s quite an awakening, isn’t it? From taking autos to a school that’s just 5 minutes away, to taking trains for college. Which means, you aren’t a stone’s throw away from home and now you need to make your bag your new home. Like I did mine!
It was pretty much like my very own Dora’s backpack, it had my whole life in there. So, if you want to know what should be in your backpack, here’s an idea.
1. A change of clothes
With such an active social life, you need to carry extra clothes. Whether it’s a sleepover or a night-out you can be prepared for the next morning. If not, the weather conditions might be reason enough to carry a change, because you don’t want to go to college sweaty or drenched.
2. An extra pair of shoes
Commuting is no easy task. It’s like a semi war to get on board a crowded train and run around looking for autos. For that purpose you need to lace up your sport shoes, but in college, they might not go with your outfit. So maybe, make some space for some flats!
3. Sanitary Pads
You don’t know when aunt flow might unexpectedly knock on the door. So always be armed with a pad, even if you don’t need it, you could be the messiah someone else is looking for. Which is a perfectly good way to make a new friend!
4. Wet wipes
The amount of dust that floats around, really calls for some sort of measure like this one. You need to keep you face clean and clear of dust. Since, you probably can’t rush to the washroom each time you’re on the go, these will be a big help.
For all those bus rides, music has been my one true friend. It’s another experience to listen to ‘Lights’ by Coldplay, while you look out the window to see a rain drenched Mumbai. It’s one you’ll always remember.
Everything smudges, no matter what the packaging says. So, carry your kajal in your bag and apply it when you get to college, otherwise it’s going to be all over your face!
7. Clean & Clear Foaming Face Wash
Oily skin can be a real pain, especially when you’re put through the college grind. All that time spent outside the classroom and thanks to weather, your skin can get oily before you know it! You barely have time to eat in the canteen, much less do a whole skin routine. While you’re juggling multiple activities during your first days at college, Clean and Clear Foaming Facewash can help you manage your skin. Just toss it in your bag and use it twice in a day. It will keep your skin oil-free and feeling fresh all day long!
8. Personalized notepads
I love the idea of personalised notepads. In college you’re kind of done wil 5 or 6 notebooks, they’re mostly replaced by one notepad or a notebook. You can have yours designed with your favourite cartoons, shows or even taglines. It makes your personality jump out on paper.
9. Power bank
My phone was almost always off by the time it was time to go home. So, when I’d travel back, my mom would be in a frenzy, trying to figure out where the hell I was. Finally, she gifted me a power bank and honestly, it’s never left my bag.
The last but the most important, is the food. I don’t know about you, but going to the canteen is long! I barely got breaks in between my lectures and I was always hungry, so I kept a packet of biscuits in my bag the whole time.
Well, now that you have a brief idea, you’re ready for the big adventure called ‘College’!
