Chitrangda Singh On Casting Couch In Bollywood: Yes, It Has Happened To Me

Fame and success don’t come overnight. It involves a lot of hard work, dedication, patience and some luck too. But apart from all these, there are times when people are faced with a moral dilemma. And the film industry is an example of that.

Several actors including Ayushmann Khurrana and Zareen Khan have also earlier shared how they were asked to compromise on their ethics and morals during their initial days in Bollywood.

Now, popular B-Town actor Chitrangda Singh said that sexual favours were also demanded from her in exchange of work, reports Times Of India.

In an interview, the ‘Inkaar’ actor said that there are people like this everywhere, reports Hindustan Times. “Right from my modelling days to Bollywood, I have seen them at all times. The corporate industry is just as bad.”

“Yes, it has happened to me but I would like to say that the Bollywood industry is not the place where anybody forces you. There is enough space and respect for everyone and their choices.”

“You do feel bad when you lose an opportunity but then those are the choices you make. So, you don’t sulk about it.”

The ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3’ actor further added that because of that she has lost out on projects too.

“It feels bad and I have lost out on projects too but at the same time if you are comfortable with it, then go ahead and do it. I am not here to judge anyone.”

She also added that there are all sorts of favours people look out for, “There is not just sexual favour but other sort of favours too, which people seek. That’s the way world functions, so you make your choices and live the way you like.”

The actor concluded by saying, “I am not taking away from anyone who has been in the situation, I am not judging. This is just my point of view.”
