Boy Murders Girl Due To An Argument Over Chicken Biryani In Chennai’s Busy Market

There are certain things Indian simply cannot do without. And the quintessential chicken biryani with a bulky leg piece is one of them. Though the lip-smacking dish is prepared differently in different parts of the country, the craze for it remains constant everywhere.

This brings us to a shocking incident that took place in Chennai, where a girl was murdered in cold blood over a silly fight.

Can you guess the reason? The missing chicken in a plate of biryani.

According to Times Now, a girl and a boy bought a packet of chicken biryani from one of the roadside shops at the Koyambedu wholesale flower market. While having it sitting inside the market area, the girl who was around 25 years old, complained to the boy about the absence of the chicken piece in the biryani they got.

The argument between the two quickly turned intense and what happened next was appalling. Fuming in anger, the boy took out a knife he had in his pocket and slit the girl’s throat. The girl died on the spot bleeding from the wound.

People came rushing to the spot on hearing the sound but the boy had already escaped. The body of the girl has been sent for post mortem by the police to the Kilpauk government hospital. The police are also carrying an investigation to hunt down the boy.
