Menstruation. Not a very favourite topic with people in India. This extremely normal, albeit a bit painful monthly occurrence in a woman’s body has been tagged as something bad and dirty by the patriarchal society, and has way too many taboos surrounding it. So much so that women feel utterly embarrassed and ashamed of menstruating.
