Yesterday, in series of tweets, author Chetan Bhagat shared how film critics in Bollywood have ruined lives by writing rubbish about them. He also asked actors to stop seeking validation from them. However, his rant didn’t go well with several people and B-town critics who criticized him. Bhagat later responded to all of the tweets criticizing him.
After the episode, Bhagat again took to Twitter and shared how this ‘snob elitist ecosystem critics’ decide to collectively trash a movie in their Whatsapp groups.
Snob elitist ecosystem critics have whatsapp groups. They mutually decide to trash a movie or actor before the trial. Nobody wants to mess with them as they will collectively trash you. So people keep quiet. Many producers and directors in Bollywood will confirm this.

He went on to point out that he was also bullied as a newcomer.

He also thanked Vir Sanghvi for standing up for him even before he knew him.

Soon after his statement, people were divided. While some supported him for daring to point out the malaise in Bollywood, others called him out for threatening people doing their jobs.
