It’s that time of the year again when our very own Meghalaya turns pink as the beautiful cherry blossoms take over the cityscapes. Every year, around this time, the hill station organizes the India International Cherry Blossom Festival to exhibit this wonder of nature which will surely make you forget the similar fest that is organized in China and Japan. However, the festival has been canceled this year, courtesy Covid-19, reported The Indian Express.
But even though people are skeptical about traveling amid coronavirus scare, many across the country have been visiting the beautiful hill station to witness the flowers in full bloom. “The cherry blossoms here are beautiful and tourists come here from several places,” said a local.

When you have cherry blossom blooming in Shillong why travel to Japan. North East is a place to see. Beautiful mountains, lush green forests, national parks, great food, warm & friendly people.
