This Australian Town Costs As Much As An Apartment In Mumbai And It’s Up For Sale!

Real estate is hard to come by. Property, land, even apartments for that matter are a tough buy, especially if you’re looking to make investments. But what if you come across a real, actual, not-scam, irrefutable piece of listing which says that you can buy an entire town in the price of an uptown Mumbai apartment.

Yes, you read that right. A town in Monogorilby, Australia, called Allie’s Creek, is up for sale for AUD 750,000, or INR 3.67 crores.

Located in South-western Queensland, Allie’s Creek was put up for sale by its owners originally for AUD 2.1 million. Price drops led it to come to its present rate of AUD 750,000. The town was originally a decommissioned saw mill, and some of the machinery and equipment is still present. There are 16 houses at present, some of which are inhabited.

The town also has street lights, phone lines to every house, a power depot, and also a water purification plant!

Principal at Sutton Nationwide Realty Julie Sutton says, “It’s a mini-town, it’s unbelievable. It’s only been used as a place for rental income so far, but it’s a complete small town with all the roads made, including a hall for functions … there’s just so much that’s possible.” Julie also says that some serious enquiries have also been made for the purchase and she’s positive it’ll fetch a buyer soon.

So if you have the money in hand and aren’t afraid of an offshore property, maybe this one’s it for you!
