Chanel Designer, Karl Lagerfeld’s Cat Might Just Inherit His ₹ 14,000 Crore Wealth

Popular German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld was a doting parent of the white fluffy Burmese cat, Choupette. His love and loyalty for the pet is quite famous in the fashion world. From her sassy jet setting lifestyle of eating in silver plates to her travel in the posh business class with special services, the pampered eight-year-old puss is one of the minted pets of all time.

The 85-year-old fashion designer drew his last breath on Tuesday leaving behind a fortune worth millions. His beloved cat, who he had kidnapped from his young friend male model Baptiste Giabiconi in 2011, might just bag a large chunk of her master’s wealth.

Karl once admitted of leaving her an inheritance in his will in an interview to a fashion magazine. Owing to his love for the pet, the designer had made sure that the lavish lifestyle that his cat is accustomed to must remain intact even after his death.

Accordingly, Choupette will be provided with two maids, one bodyguard, a personal chef and other regular opulent facilities for her entire life.

The cat, however, is not just an heir of Karl’s million-dollar fortune but also has its own net worth of $3.4 million which she gained after doing an advert for a German car firm and a Japanese cosmetics brand. The cat, unlike any other ordinary cat, is also the hero of a book titled ‘Choupette: The Private Life of a High-Flying Fashion Cat’.

Having inherited Karl’s fortune, Choupette would become the world’s richest feline on the planet. Provided, cats can get an inheritance according to the law!
