Unfortunately, she was trolled for the same by some people online who questioned her dress and act of carrying her husband’s pier and an eartern pot. In response, several celebrities from the entertainment industry have come out in Mandira’s support:
1. Sona Mohapatra took to Twitter to speak against how Mandira was questioned for her attire and her choice to perform the rituals at the funeral:
That some people are still commenting on Mandira Bedi’s dress code or choice to carry out her husband Raj Kushal’s last rites shouldn’t surprise us. Stupidity is more abundant than any other element in our world after all ..

2. Shweta Tiwari posted an Instagram story writing, “@MandiraBedi we are with you and proud of you for expressing your love freely!” She attached a screenshot of a post that talked about how some people didn’t empathize with Mandira, even at a grieving moment, and instead displayed a stereotypical mentality.
3. Actress-producer Mini Mathur condemned the trolls calling them “fools” and urged people to “applaud” Mandira’s strength instead.
Makes me sick that people are having a field day trolling a grieving woman for performing last rites on her husband instead of asking a stranger or her tiny kid. Or for not having the time to dress the way THEY imagine grieving women should dress. Fools!! Applaud her strength!

4. Dalljiet Kaur wrote on her Instagram story, “My deepest respect for @mandirabedi. Her decision to break this stereotype is commendable. May God give her the inner strength needed at this hour..And trolls?? They will never want people to “Let them just be”.”
5. Actress and dancer Mukti Mohan also took to her Instagram stories and wrote, “Women are half of humanity, half of humanity has remained undignified, uneducated, deprived of freedom, we’ve hampered and handicapped ourselves. WE ARE THE REFLECTION OF WHAT IS HAPPENING AROUND US!! And we have destroyed half of ourselves and if we are in misery then who is to be blamed? Ask yourselves next time when you face such situations daughters, sisters, wives, mothers and sons of such mothers, brothers of such sisters, when YOU are questioned when you want to grieve /express/love freely!! Thank you for being you @mandirabedi.”
Many other celebrities like Ronit Roy, Apura Agnihotri, Ashish Choudhary, etc. visited Mandira’s residence to pay their final respects. We wish her all the love and strength in these trying times.
