The world came in solidarity with an African-American man who was pinned down to death by a police officer in the U.S. Soon, #BlackLivesMatter started trending online as people across the world demanded an end to the racial discrimination against the people of colour, especially in the U.S.
Soon after, reports of a pregnant elephant’s killing in Kerala sparked massive outrage in the country. Post which, several people including B-Town celebs took to social media and expressed their disappointment with #AllLivesMatter.
And among the firsts was ‘Love Aaj Kal’ actor Sara Ali Khan who shared a graphic that which read “All Lives Matter” while striking the word “Black” on it.

However, people online weren’t pleased by her post and said that she was ‘tone-deaf’ for reducing the global issue to animal rights, reported News18. However, following the backlash, Sara later deleted the post on Instagram.

sara ali khan is a prime example of how privilege can give you the access to education in one of the best universities but not brains to apply that and learn from there

#SaraAliKhan ali khan, a history grad from columbia, not only accessorising a black model in 1 of her shoots but also supporting all lives matter on a platform where she has a significant following is further proof that going to an ivy league doesn’t necessarily mean you’re smart

People even schooled her and highlighted the real issue behind the trending hashtag #BlackLivesMatter.
An overused but accurate analogy "If I say my house is on fire and you say 'All house matter,' well that may be true, but all house aren't on fire right now,my house is"
So it should have been "All lives won't matter until black lives matter".#SaraAliKhan #AllLivesMattter pic.twitter.com/YNEZmknem5

Now, B-Town actor Tamannaah Bhatia has shared a post posing a question-‘Doesn’t every life matter, human or animal?’ Taking to Twitter she wrote:
Your silence will not protect you. Doesn't every life matter, human or animal? Muting any form of creation is against the universal law. We must unlearn and learn to be human again, express compassion and practice love.#AllLivesMatter #WakeUpWorld pic.twitter.com/Ixzq39ueJC

Yes silence is an enemy to humanity. Selective silence is even a bigger enemy. Lets all raise voice against all the injustices, not selectively.
