T’is the season to do roundups, fa la la la la la la la! We’re mid-December already, folks, which means there are barely two weeks left to say “Bye Felicia!” to 2018 and “How you doin’?” to 2019. But while we daydream over what this new year shall bring, let’s take a look back at what 2018 brought us, shall we? And I’ll tell you what it brought us—Weddings. A whole lot of weddings!
You know how one minute everything’s fine and the next minute all your friends are getting married and you’re lost, navigating so many functions and outfits? Well, that’s exactly what happened to celebs this year!
From British royals to Bollywood royalty to the India’s richest man’s daughter, so many of them tied the knot this year, drowning us in FOMO and supplying oxygen with nicely coordinated social media posts!
If you had a hard time keeping up with all the photos and videos, imagine how tough it must’ve bene for these celebs to actually be a part of them! Especially this December, where it is pretty much raining weddings!
So peeps, here’s an almost chronological roundup of celeb weddings that we hope you didn’t miss in 2018! And if you did, well, here’s a recap!

1. Antara Motiwala and Mohit Marwah
One of the young guns of the Kapoor brood, Mohit Marwah tied the knot with girlfriend Antara Motiwala in Ras al-Khaimah, UAE. The wedding festivities were spread over a couple of days, sangeet et al., and was a fabulous big fat Punjabi wedding to the T!
It was also one of the last times the world caught a glimpse of Sridevi, before she was taken from us.
2. Pankhuri Awasthi and Gautam Rode
OMG! Do you remember when TV heartthrob Gautam Rode and wife Pankhuri Awasthy recreated the Dil Diyaan Gallan magic for their sangeet?
Their wedding too was one big fairytale and they looked so in love!
3. Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim
Telly actors Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim too tied the knot in February this year, in a ceremony complete with mehendi, sangeet, and lots of dhamaal!
4. Rochelle Rao and Keith Sequeira
Bigg Boss chaahte hain ki Rochelle Rao and Keith Sequeira‘s wedding pics be revisited again because they were so beautiful! The couple got engaged in February last year and announced it with an adorable Valentine’s Day shoot. And their beach wedding photos just took it a notch higher!
5. Shriya Saran and Andrei Koscheev
The lovely Shriya Saran and her Russian boyfriend Andrei Koscheev were married in March this year in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai. Doesn’t she look beautiful?

6. Ankita Konwar and Milind Soman
Ufff! This wedding broke a million girls’ hearts! But Milind Soman and Ankita Konwar got hitched in fun destination wedding in Alibaug, we were still all smiles!
The couple had a sangeet and mehendi too, a honeymoon in Hawaii and yet another eco-friendly wedding ceremony in Spain!
7. Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja
Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding was an absolute fan favourite! You know why? Because while Virushka’s wedding last year was all about FOMO, there was none here! The mehendi, wedding and reception were held in Mumbai and we saw lots of videos of Bollywood celebs killing it on the dance floor!
8. Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi
While all of Bollywood was dancing their hearts out at Sonam-Anand’s wedding, another couple pulled off and elusive one! Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi got married in a traditional Punjabi wedding in Delhi two days later!
And now they’ve been blessed with a little angel they’ve named Mehr Dhupia Bedi!

9. Sonia Kapoor and Himesh Reshammiya
Another surprise wedding in that same week? Himesh Reshammiya and Sonia Kapoor! The couple wed in a private ceremony at Himesh’s home.
10. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
Alright alright! You know this one was huge when Rachel Zane from Suits married Mike Ross on the show, and just days later, we saw Meghan Markle have the fairytale royal wedding of our dreams with Prince Harry!
The guestlist was insane, including our very own BFF of the Duchess of Sussex, Priyanka Chopra!
11. Angela Jones and Matthew Lewis
Accio photos of Neville Longbottom’s wedding please! A handsome Matthew Lewis filled his life with the magic of love when he married muggle GF Angela Jones!

You know nothing if you don’t remember the beautiful wedding that Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie had this year! Jon Snow and Ygritte’s wildling on-screen romance may not have had a happy ending, but off-screen it was simply perfection! And their GOT costars where there to celebrate too!

Sheldon and Amy’s wedding wasn’t the only big bang that happened this year! Kaley Cuoco aka Penny from The Big Bang Theory said “I do” to boyfriend Karl Cook, and their ranch wedding was one of the most stunning things you’ll see!

18. Yuvika Chaudhary and Prince Narula
Telly darlings Yuvika Chaudhary and Prince Narula’s love story had a happy beginning with their nuptials! And their sangeet and wedding ceremonies were full on dhamaal like you’d see in any Punjabi wedding!
19. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh
We are all going to remember this year as the year jab Ram aur Leela ek ho gaye! First they gave us so much FOMO with their super private wedding ceremony in the stunning Lake Como, Italy. And then, it was like an avalanche of mehendi and wedding photos!
Not to mention those triple receptions (Bengaluru, Mumbai and another one with Bollywood stars) that the couple held, along with that party thrown by Ranveer’s sister!
For DeepVeer, it has just been one epic party since their shaadi! And fans can’t get enough of their loving speeches for each other and dance videos!
20. Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber being off the market must’ve been a shocker for his fangirls, but the man is happily and sappily married to the gorgeous Hailey Baldwin! The couple continue to stack up PDA goals on Instagram!
21. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas
Jiji aur Jija ko badhaai ho badhaai! More important than perhaps even the royal wedding for the world this year was Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ fairytale wedding! The couple’s nuptials at Umaid Bhawan Palace were something out of a Hollywood princess movie!
The wedding videos pretty much made even the stone hearted shed a silent tear of joy because it was that beautiful! And that sangeet was like an awards’ night, wasn’t it?
Not to mention we had a Bollywood–Game of Thrones crossover with Sophie Turner being part of the bridal squad.
The couple held their first reception in Delhi that was attended by PM Narendra Modi amongst others.
And now NickYanka are all set to host another reception for PeeCee’s Bollywood fam in Mumbai on December 20! Cannot wait!
22. Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal
Could Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s shaadi possibly be the most expensive wedding ever? Well that $100 million price tag sure makes it look like that!
When the daughter of India’s richest man got hitched, Beyoncé performed, Bollywood stars danced and the Bachchans and Khans served food to the wedding guests! And that’s still just the tip of the iceberg!
The couple’s pre-wedding festivities were one insane party at The Oberoi Udailvilas in Udaipur. The star-studded wedding took place in Antilia, and multiple receptions were hosted at Jio Gardens in BKC, Mumbai.

23. Ginni Chatrath and Kapil Sharma
India’s favourite comedian Kapil Sharma married girlfriend Ginni Chatrath last week in a full-to Punjabi wedding in Jalandhar! The couple too had fabulous invitations sent out and their telly friends were all there for their special day!
The mata ki chowki and jaggo ceremonies were crackling with fun and masti and the dhol and Daler Mehndi ruled the reception!

24. Natalie Di Luccio and Raghu Ram
When the man who asks everyone “Tu Roadie banega?” was asked “Tu husband banega?”, he said yes! Raghu Ram’s life this year has gone through a lot of changes. First, he and ex-wife Sugandha Garg threw a divorce party to announce their amicable separation. Then engagement to Canadian singer girlfriend Natalie Di Luccio happened in August. And finally, the couple tied the knot last week!
It was a gorgeous beach wedding in Goa and the pictures are so delightful!
25. Parul Chauhan and Chirag Thakkar
TV actress Parul Chauhan (Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai) wed her longtime boyfriend Chirag Thakkar last week, and Parul sure made for a beautiful bride!
The couple’s reception was held in Lakhimpur, Uttar Pradesh yesterday, and will be spending their New Year’s honeymooning!
Their Mumbai reception is yet to be planned.
26. Additi Gupta and Kabir Chopra
Looks like December’s a major treat for TV fans because another telly actress, Additi Gupta of Ishqbaaz fame also got hitched to Kabir Chopra!
The couple’s wedding was at a hotel in Juhu, Mumbai, and saw a host of TV celebs like Drashti Dhami, Anita Hassanandani, Kritika Kamra and Krystle D’souza attend!

27. Shweta Basu Prasad and Rohit Mittal
Makdee actress Shweta Basu Prasad tied the knot last week with longtime beau Rohit Mittal at a hotel in Pune.

Their love story and impending marriage was no secret, they’d been seeing each other for almost 10 years, and watching them put a ring on it was rather beautiful!
The couple’s reception was also held at Novotel Hyderabad last night with the likes of Nagarjuna, Rakul Preet Singh and Urvashi Rautela in attendance.
Phew! Wasn’t that one heck of a year for weddings? But don’t get tired just yet, because lots of rumoured weddings, from Arjun-Malaika to Varun Dhawan and GF Natasha Dalal could suddenly become legit! And don’t forget, there’s another Ambani wedding pending! Now where’s my Sabyasachi lehenga?
