Marvel Drops An Amazing Trailer For ‘Captain Marvel’, MCU’s Most Powerful Hero!

If you’re a Marvel fan like me, The Thanos Snap at the end of Infinity war must have left you unsatisfied and wanting for more. And also quite curious when Nick Fury used an old pager to send an SOS. The identity of the receiver wasn’t explicitly stated, but we all know who it was right? Captain Marvel, of course!

Who exactly is Carol Danvers? And why is she important?

Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel is a Hero. The first female solo lead in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and touted as the strongest Avenger. Fans have long surmised that she’s Earth’s best chance against the mighty Thanos. And this film is her story.

Who are the Skrulls and the Kree?

So these green aliens with pointy ears in the picture above? They’re the Skrulls. Created by the legend himself – Stan Lee and his co-creator Jack Kirby. And as Nick Fury quite simply put it, “So… Skrulls are the bad guys.” And they have a feud with the Kree (another alien race living on planet Hala).

What does this  have to do with the MCU, you ask? Our very own home girl, Carol Danvers is a Kree. “A race of noble warriors.” And she gets unintentionally involved in their war. The Kree has a military team called Starforce, spearheaded by Mar-Vell / Walter Lawson. Jude Law plays his character in the film and is seen mentoring Carol for the upcoming war.

Since the film is set in the 90s, Nick Fury aka Samuel L.Jackson has been digitally de-aged. He is not yet the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D. and does not wear his iconic eye patch. It will be fun to see his life before the Avengers initiative. And who knows? We might even see how he lost his eye.

With barely a 100 days for the movie to release on March 8, 2019; Marvel Studios posted a brand new trailer. Remember the first one where she punched an old lady? Anyway here’s the second one. Have a look. #excitedmeinedda
