Mrunal Thakur & Vijay Varma Make Jaws Drop In Black On Day 2 Of Cannes Film Festival

Yesterday, on Day 1 of the Cannes Film Festival 2023, the Bollywood divas arrived in outfits that got the internet buzzing. Other Indian public figures that joined the Indian contingent in France proudly flaunted their Indian heritage by dressing up in desi outfits like a saree and veshti.

It’s Day 2 today and the B-town celebs have already made their presence noted on the coveted Cannes carpet.

Sara Ali Khan

Sara was again spotted at the event wearing an Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla outfit. Sticking to showcasing her ‘Indianess’ abroad, she chose a monochrome saree for the day.

Channeling her retro self, she wore an off-white chamois satin trailing skirt with an attached drape, intricately bordered with black and white tiny beads and crystals.

Her edgy halter neck blouse, embellished with black and white beads and crystals with multiple rows of pearls added a twist to her chic look. Her winged eyeliner and a bouffant bun made us love her look.

‘Jersey’ actor Mrunal Thakur made her Cannes debut in lace pants, a swimsuit, and a sequin jacket. She posed pictures from her photoshoot at the French Rivera and it’s definitely a pleasant surprise. Her red carpet look is yet to be disclosed.

Vijay Varma

The ‘Dahaad’ actor has also landed in Cannes for the event and this time, he has made people fall in love with his fashion sense. He looked dapper in an all-black fusion outfit for the carpet.

This is not the first time he has made it to the fest. In 2013, he attended the Cannes Film Festival for the first time for the premiere of his film ‘Monsoon Shootout’.

Manushi Chhillar

After having her Cinderella moment in a white corset gown, former Miss World Manushi Chhillar was spotted wearing an off-shoulder black gown for Union Minister Dr. L Murugan’s Dinner at Cannes Film Festival.

Madhur Bhandarkar

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar also joined the Indian contingent on Day 2. He attended the inauguration of the Indian Pavilion at the festival along with other attendees and spoke on the Indian film industry and its progress on the global platform.

The ‘Sanam Re’ actor also walked the red carpet the next day wearing a dramatic orange tulle gown by designer Tarik Ediz. She again styled her hair in a tight bun.
