After the coveted Met Gala, it’s time for the ‘Festival de Cannes’, an annual international film festival held in Cannes, France. Every year, the festival sees many actors and popular celebs from the entertainment industry walk the red carpet.
And unlike any fashion event, the fest previews new films of all genres, including documentaries, from all around the world. This year, at the 76th Cannes Film Festival, a handful of Indian celebs will be seen gracing the invite-only festival.
1. Sara Ali Khan
Sara made her royal Cannes debut on Day 1 wearing an exquisite hand-embroidered lehenga with a long-head veil by designers Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

Her skirt was hand-embroidered with each unique panel showcasing a calendar of designs from the designer’s archives of couture down the years. The resplendent blouse had intricate work in crystals, pearls, and resham work. The ensemble features two drapes in tulle, an enchanting one-shoulder drape, and a veil.

2. Manushi Chhillar
Another debutant at the filmy fest was Indian actress, model, and the winner of the Miss World 2017 pageant, Manushi Chhillar. She had her Cinderella moment in a white corset gown as she graced the event looking like a vision in white wearing an environmentally conscious couture by Fovari.
3. Esha Gupta
Bollywood actor Esha Gupta was the first Indian celeb who was spotted at Cannes 2023. She made her debut this year wearing a white thigh-high slit gown by designer Nicholas Jebran.
She accessorized the dress with a white ring and a pair of earrings from the Fred Parish Jewellery line. As for her hair, she sported a bun with a few loose strands hanging down from either side of her face.

4. Urvashi Rautela
Indian actress, model, and the winner of Miss Diva Universe 2015, Urvashi Rautela walked the Cannes carpet for the second time this year.

At the carpet opening, the ‘Sanam Re’ actor was seen in a pink tulle gown by ace designer Sima Couture. She paired it with a Cartier crocodile neckpiece.
Other celebs who are reportedly expected to grace the carpet this year are Anushka Sharma, Mrunal Thakur, Andrea Kevichusa, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Dolly Singh, and Anurag Kashyap, Sunny Leone, Vijay Verma, and Shannon K.
