Tea is like the national drink of India and people have been personalizing it according to their taste by adding several spices like cloves, cardamom, ginger, and so on. But I was taken aback when I saw a chaiwala bhaiya put a heap load of butter in the drink.
Apparently, butter tea is highly consumed in the Himalayan regions of India especially in Ladakh, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh. It is also a staple drink in Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet.
But it seems like some people online were not pretty impressed with this concoction. While some opined that Adrak wali chai is the best, others said, ‘chai ko toh chor detey yaar’.
