UAE is currently experiencing record-breaking rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning, reports Gulf News. On Friday, however, an unusual incident happened in Dubai during heavy rainfall, which can also be called every photographer’s dream!
According to a report by NDTV, the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, was struck by a bolt of lightning.
The incredible moment was captured by none other than the crown prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who took to Instagram to share a picture.

Zohaib Anjum, a photographer, also managed to capture a shot of the lightning striking the Burj Khalifa. He spent 7 years trying to get the perfect shot, spending several nights camping outside when rains hit Dubai.
“It was just as though God had planned this moment, the lightning hitting the iconic Burj Khalifa to kick-start my 2020,” he said.
