A brother-sister bond is just like ‘Tom and Jerry’. They tease and irritate each other but they can’t really live without each other. And, no matter what they always have each other’s back.

Speaking of which, a 6-year-old boy recently didn’t hesitate to save his younger sister from a vicious dog attack. According to a post on Instagram by the boy’s aunt, Bridger, from Cheyenne, US, bravely jumped in to stop a dog charging toward his sister. Even though the dog kept biting him several times on the face and head, he grabbed his sister’s hand to take her to safety, reports Yahoo News.

Bridger had to get 90 stitches from a skilled plastic surgeon as his face was left bruised and battered after the attack. Even then he said, “If someone had to die, I thought it should be me.” Later, his aunt mentioned that his wounds are healing and he is in great spirits. However, speaking about the dog’s owners, she said they are great people and there is no resentment towards them at all.

As the post went viral, many people wanted to send donations to the brave boy. However, his aunt said that her nephew only had one request. She wrote, “Bridger is a huge fan of Science, especially Geology. So I’m going to start a post where people can share with him pictures of cool rocks that they see.”

In fact, Mark Ruffalo, the actor who plays Hulk in ‘Avengers’, also wrote encouraging words for the little boy:

Well, we’re glad the little boy is resting and recovering now. With a brother like him, we’re sure his sister will always feel loved and protected. Hats off to him for his bravery and selfless act.
