British Singer Stuns The Audience With Her Soulful Version Of ‘Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo’

Renditions of our old Indian classics are always pleasing to the ears until we decide to spoil them by inserting a rap. However, the charm gets doubled when artists across borders try their hands on these evergreen songs.

And in case you are looking for an example, we have got one for you.

In a video that is going viral, British singer Tanya Wells can be seen enthralling the audience with her delightful portrayal of the iconic ghazal Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo.

The video roots back to a program held at Lahore in November 2017.

While the original version of the song written by Fayyaz Hashmi was belted out gorgeously by Khanum, Tanya’s shot the historic number deserves a whole round of applause. She felt each and every word from the very beginning and her expressive voice stole our hearts.

Wells was supported by a varied range of experienced artists and musicians who were equally good in their acts.

Tanya, who is a London-born singer, has spent a significant amount of time in North India mastering the language and music. And my god, her touching depiction of the ghazal speaks volumes about her talent.
