A desi bride’s bidai is quite an emotional moment for everyone. If you are lucky, you won’t get all teary-eyed but if you are not, you will cry as if you’ve just cut a dozen onions!
However, one Kolkata bride ditched the traditional bidai and decided to take the wheel and drive her husband to her sasural! According to Times Now, a video of the bride, 28-year-old Sneha Singhi, stepping into the driver’s seat in a red lehenga along with her husband by her side and driving off has gone viral online and it’s all shades badass!
“To be honest, I did not think of it as women empowerment. I have always driven him around wherever he has wanted to go. In fact, that’s how our first date ended – I dropped him home,” Sneha told Times Now.
She had asked her husband about driving to her sasural a month before the wedding. However, she completely forgot about it when the moment finally arrived. Just when she was about to enter the car, her husband reminded her of her plan and she excitedly said, “Yes, let’s go!”
