You may fight with your siblings or cousins to the ends of the earth every time we get into a verbal spat with them! But, whenever necessary you never think twice before standing by them. We love our brothers and sisters so much that we can actually put our life at stake to save them.

One such case of a 14-year-old Thane boy, who risked his life to save his 7-year-old cousin from the clutches of a leopard has come to light recently. The kids were plucking berries in a nearby forest when a leopard leaped on the older brother, Kaluram.

He moved away quickly before the leopard could grip him. So, the big cat attacked the younger brother Harshad. Kaluram picked up some stones and sticks and began hitting the leopard, forcing it to let go of his brother, reports TOI.

Both the brothers began shouting for help following which their grandmother rushed to the spot with a sickle to fend the leopard off. They were immediately rushed to a hospital are undergoing treatment there.

A day after the incident, the leopard was found dead around 300 meters away from the spot. Postmortem reports of the leopard show no signs of physical injuries or abnormalities.

Stories of the brave kids from different parts of the country have made us proud time and again. Remember the story of the youngest recipient of Bravery Award this year, Mamta Dalai? The 6-year-old saved her sister from the grip of a crocodile while taking a bath in the village pond.

Kudos to these kids who risk their lives to save others.
