”Poisoned’ Temple Prasad Kills 16 Year-Old Boy & Hospitalizes 20 Others In Karnataka!

The Veerabhadreshwara Swamy temple in Karnataka’s Tumakuru district has landed in deep trouble after the ‘prasad’ served at the holy place killed one and hospitalized many others.

According to The News Minute, several people from different taluks came to attend a special ceremony that was held at the Tumakuru temple. The temple which sits exactly in the Nidagal village of Pavagada taluk then served the ‘prasadam’ to its devotees. After consuming it, numerous people fell ill and a 16-year-old boy lost his life. The deceased boy has been identified as Veerabhadra and hails from Sira taluk in the district.

Though he was taken to the hospital, he failed to recover and passed away on May 22, two days after having the ‘prasadam’.

Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has taken the detailed report of the incident and has ordered a detailed investigation at the spot. However, reports from the Chief Minister’s office say that contaminated water is the reason behind the tragedy.
