It was on 24th February, 2018 that the nation was jolted by the untimely demise of Sridevi while she was attending a wedding in Dubai. She was one of the most beloved actresses in the industry and it was undoubtedly difficult for her fans to come to terms with the fact that she was indeed gone.
Since the death of a loved one affects one’s family the most, it’s beyond our imagination how hard it must’ve been for the late actress’ husband, Boney Kapoor and her two daughters, Janhvi and Khusi.

However, as time heals all wounds, Boney has finally started looking up and opened up about his life after Sridevi’s death.
Boney Kapoor, who has produced successful films starring Sridevi like ‘Mom’ and ‘Mr. India’, opened up in an interview about what the last few months have been like for him and his children.
“I am trying to be both a mother and a father to my children. She was suddenly gone. These past months have been very difficult. Everything went on a freeze-pause in our lives. There were so many things left unsaid and undone.”
Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor have their entire lives ahead of them, with Janhvi debuting in Bollywood with ‘Dhadak’. And that has motivated Boney to pick himself up and stand beside them.
“Now I am finally picking up the pieces again trying to put my life together for my children’s sake. There were things that were put on pause. I am trying to resume my life. I am yet to come to terms with the fact that she’s gone forever.”
It’s undoubtedly very tough for Boney Kapoor and his family to truly accept Sridevi’s passing, given how quickly everything happened. However, as the movie industry, national and international, have supported them in every way, it’ll certainly have a positive effect on them. Additionally, since kids give us a chance to be better than we used to be, it’s heartening to see Janhvi and Khushi pushing Boney to give a second chance at life.
