I’m sure, if you checked any of your social media accounts yesterday, you know what day it was. Yep, it was Father’s Day and living in a social media age, practically everyone posted something emotional for their dads online. Words of gratitude and undying love were a staple on our newsfeeds and at one point or two, you couldn’t help but go “Awwww”. Save for the zillions of ‘daddy’s princess’ hashtags (sorry, it’s a personal pet peeve of mine), it was actually nice to see those glimpses of these father-child relationships.
And of course, another sweet aspect of the online presence of this day was that many celebs took it up wholeheartedly. Their cute nods towards the fathers in their lives gave a humane touch to their otherwise larger than life personas.
Abhishek Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma and a lot many more, took to Instagram and Twitter to give shoutouts to the super dads:
1. The new dulhan, Sonam K Ahuja shared an uber cute photo with papa Anil.
Happy Father’s Day to my main man! To have you as a role model has been my greatest gift and I wish I had words to tell you how much I love you daddy. @AnilKapoor #JaaduKiJhappi pic.twitter.com/OLKT35QPxn

2. SRK and his wit.
Notwithstanding that the kids had no other option & yeah I admit maybe there is just a hint of a bias here…this kinda completes a fathers life. pic.twitter.com/UDBVYDzAMp

3. Karan Johar’s father’s day was all the more special thanks to his tiny tots. But first, one for the senior Johar:
And then these two cuties!
4. Let me know if you find one Akshay, I’d like one too!
Help!!
It's #FathersDay and the little one asks "Dad, can I have a pet?"
My fatherly love taking over,"Of course Beta what would you like?"
She,"Dad, can you get me a Unicorn with wings😍?
Any suggestions 😬?#DaddysLilGirl 💖 pic.twitter.com/rXQUgcNnaE— Akshay Kumar (@akshaykumar) June 17, 2018

10. Look at that baby swag!
11. Arjun Kapoor’s Twitter thread takes the prize for best Father’s day post though. Given their previously reportedly strained relationship, this is heartening to see.
