The infamous #BoysLockerRoom incident has shaken the youth of the country and has started a massive online movement. The ‘Bois Locker Room’ was a private Instagram chat where boys, many underaged and some adults, shared pictures of underaged girls without their consent or knowledge and objectified, sexualised. Some even expressed intentions of rape.
As this issue came to light, Delhi Police started an investigation and managed to arrest a 15-year-old boy who was a member of the group and had shared a photograph of a girl.
However, the admin of the ‘Bois Locker Room’ group chat has been arrested. The guy is not a minor and has already appeared for his Class-12 exams after studying at a school in NCR, reports India Today.
The accused has revealed the names of 27 other members of the group, 15 of whom have been interrogated, reports NDTV. Their devices have been confiscated and have been sent for forensic analysis.
Besides school students, there were 10 college students, 1st and 2nd years, who were part of the group.
“The identified members who are major, are being examined. The minor members of the group are being dealt with as per the provisions of Juvenile Justice Act, said a Delhi Police official.
We hope that the police get to the bottom of this and the necessary action is taken against the accused.
