Video Shows Doggo Who Lost Both His Eyes Trying To Save A Beached Dolphin

There have been several instances where dogs have helped others, including humans. They are more loyal and faithful than most of us humans, which is why dog parents go to any extreme to make them a part of their life even if it means marrying them. Their little acts of kindness always make me avoid human company for theirs. They are adorable, faithful and kind, aren’t they? Well, this blind doggo who went beyond his physical abilities to help a dolphin proves that all it takes is the intention to help someone.

On a Saturday morning when a blind pit bull-Shar-Pei and his owner Frankie Gonzalez were strolling on the beach, they saw a dolphin carcass washed up on Rockaway Beach in the U.S. When the 11-year-old dog named Ollie sensed that the sea creature in trouble, he immediately rushed to help him in spite of his own disability.

“It (the dolphin) had marks on its back like it was hit by a boat or something. Immediately, Ollie as if drawn by some ancient mammalian kinship tried to get as close as he could to the expired cetacean.” Gonzalez said. But his own health issues never restricted him in helping others.

“He’s a very special dog, and he’s very sensitive. I think there’s something innate in his character,” Gonzalez added.

Reportedly, Gonzalez adopted the blind pit bull-Shar-Pei mix, Ollie three years ago, he was already suffering from a lot of health problems. Along with a severe allergy, he suffered from glaucoma, which ultimately led to both of his eyes being removed.

Ollie loves the water and likes spending some time around the beach, which is why the locals also call him the “beach dog.” Over time, he became so famous among the people regularly visiting the beach that his owner set up an Instagram page for him.

“One of the police officers got on his Instagram because he was impressed at the way the dog was acting,” Gonzalez said. “Eventually the police officer started playing with him.”

You see, this is why I like to stay away from humans and chill at home with my pooch.
