Mahishmati And Marvel Fans Unite After Black Panther’s M’Baku Shows His Love For Baahubali

Upon its release, ‘Black Panther’ took the world by storm with its afro-futuristic style, engaging plot, amazing performances and exhilarating action. In addition to all that, Winston Duke’s M’Baku won everyone’s hearts with his gentle giant attitude and vegan jokes. And while fans are glad to see him loyally fighting beside T’Challa in ‘Infinity War’, they might be surprised to see him siding with another King.

Recently, Winston Duke shared his love for ‘Baahubali 2’ on his Instagram story and hailed Amarendra Baahubali as his King.

The ‘Black Panther’ actor showed off most of the action scenes that featured Bhallaladeva and Amarendra in his Instagram story. However, when it came to the famous tree-sling-shot sequence, Winston absolutely lost it, all the while enjoying the movie’s absurdity.

When the news about Winston’s love for this National Award winning movie spread, the official Twitter handle of ‘Baahubali’ reached out to Winston.

Winston was quick to respond with a note of thanks as well.

Indian fans obviously noticed this exchange and were glad to see their favorite film get some international appreciation.

Most Indians who watched ‘Black Panther’ won’t know this, thanks to our ever awesome CBFC, but M’Baku has Indian connections as his Jabari tribe prays to our very own Hanuman. So, it’s great to see Winston extend his character’s desi origins by appreciating the nation’s pride that is ‘Baahubali’. Now it’s time to return the gesture when he returns to the big screen in ‘Infinity War’, with a combo of “Yibambe” and “Jai Mahismati”.
